Ever wondered if those Etsy SEO tools are as accurate as they claim?

Me too…

…so I signed up for 17 third-party Etsy seller tools to find out just how accurate they were.

They’re not.

What Got Me Thinking…

Etsy doesn’t give keyword search data or listing sales figures to anyone.

When I saw many paid Etsy research tools claiming their search figures were super-accurate (some even insisting they got them directly from Etsy), it raised a red flag. 🚩

Then I noticed Etsy tools offering extremely precise numbers, like Crestfull’s 1,305,401 monthly searches for “wedding invitations”. Estimating to this level of detail is nonsensical (seriously, right down to the “1”??). So, a second red flag. 🚩🚩

That got me looking…

Accuracy Is a Big Deal!

Knowing where an Etsy research tool might be leading you astray means…

…you can be selective in how you use the tool (if at all), which means…

…you won’t make bad choices based on bad data, which means…

…your shop is more likely to be successful.

The first four modules in my program are open to everyone, offering a detailed overview of the available tools, their features, and where accuracy truly matters. The remaining modules dive into just how reliable these tools are in practice.

I Am Not an Affiliate

I have no financial interest in which Etsy seller tool you choose.

There are no affiliate links inside Reality Check (or anywhere else in my website). There’s no recommendation on what tool to use either. I give you an unbiased analysis of where tools are accurate, and where they’re not—you decide what tool you use.

P.S. If you’re interested in how much Etsy SEO tool affiliates appear to influence the choice of tool, have a read here.
